Karnataka pacer Vidwath Kaverappa rose to prominence after he finished as the second-highest wicket-taker in the 2022-23 edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Kaverappa later continued his scintillating form in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and the Ranji Trophy. Having impressed in the domestic circuit, Punjab Kings acquired his services at the IPL 2023 mini-auction. He could be a surprise package for the PBKS outfit in the IPL.
