Punjab Kings (PBKS) will host Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their sixth match of the ongoing TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali, on Thursday, April 20.

Under the tutelage of head coach Trevor Bayliss, the Kings head into their home game high on confidence after we beat Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by two wickets in our last fixture.

Clash Of The Titans

Having registered their third win of TATA IPL 2023, the PBKS outfit is currently placed fifth in the TATA IPL 2023 standings with six points from five matches. The Faf du Plessis-led RCB are languishing at the eighth place. They will look to return to winning ways after suffering an eight-run loss against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their last game.

PBKS have an upper hand over RCB in their head-to-head record, having won 17 of the 30 matches.

Furthermore, the Kings have won five of their last six matches against RCB since 2020. PBKS also registered dominant victories over RCB in our meetings last season.

Players To Watch Out For:

Shikhar Dhawan, the PBKS captain, has been in scintillating form in the ongoing TATA IPL, amassing 233 runs in four matches at a staggering average of 116.50 and a strike rate of 146.54.

In the bowling department, Arshdeep Singh has been a standout bowler. The young left-arm pacer has bagged eight wickets in five matches.

Star all-rounder Sam Curran has picked up five wickets in as many games at an economy of 8.52.

Sneak Peak in Punjab Kings' Plan:

Faf du Plessis has been the leading run-scorer this season, accumulating 259 runs in five matches. The Kings will look to dismiss him early in order to put pressure on the RCB batting line-up.

Going by the recent head-to-head record and home advantage, the Kings will aim to continue their impressive record against RCB in the upcoming clash on Thursday.
