After securing a 13-run victory over Mumbai Indians (MI) at Wankhede, our boys will look to continue the winning momentum at our home ground. We will be hosting Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in our upcoming clash of TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali, on Friday, April 28.

Rewind And Repeat vs LSG:

Our Shers will head into our home game brimming with confidence, having defeated LSG in our previous meeting in the ongoing edition.

Sikandar Raza’s 57 off 41 and Shahrukh Khan’s 10-ball 23* helped us beat LSG by two wickets in a nail-biting encounter at their home ground. This match also saw Sam Curran make his captaincy debut for us.

Talking about our head-to-head record against LSG in TATA IPL, we have faced each other on two occasions, winning one game apiece.

Our boys will look to complete the double at Sadda Akhada on Friday.

Players To Watch Out For:

Sam Curran

Our stand-in captain, Sam Curran, scored a match-winning knock of 55 off 29 against MI at the Wankhede Stadium. The 24-year-old played counter-attacking cricket as he smashed five fours and four sixes in his scintillating knock. Apart from contributing with the bat, Curran has also showcased his bowling skills. He has bagged five wickets so far at an economy of 8.85.

Curran is just 21 runs away from completing 500 runs in the high-profile T20 league. We look forward to celebrating his milestone.

Arshdeep Singh:

Our pace bowling sensation, Arshdeep Singh, has been one of the standout bowlers in the TATA IPL 2023. The left-arm pacer has picked up 13 wickets in seven matches at an average of 15.69 and an economy of 8.16. He will look to continue his sensational form against LSG at our home fortress.

Key Match-up:

KL Rahul vs Arshdeep Singh

The fierce battle between KL Rahul and Arshdeep Singh could play a decisive role in the match. Our bowling spearhead bagged the wicket of KL Rahul in our previous encounter against LSG. Rahul has often struggled against left-arm pace. Considering the LSG-skipper usually takes time to settle in, Arshdeep will try to make use of the Mohali pitch to provide us with an early advantage at our home den.
