It has been a week filled with dramatic twists and turns, featuring action-packed rounds of both international and domestic cricket. South Africa managed an impressive comeback, winning the ODI series 3-2 against Australia after initially falling behind 2-0. Meanwhile, England secured an ODI series victory against New Zealand, thanks to outstanding performances by our Punjab Kings' players.

Kagiso Rabada: 3/41 vs Australia

After trailing 2-0 in the series, South Africa, led by Kagiso Rabada, delivered a strong response against Australia. They managed to level the series at 2-2, with Heinrich Klaasen's remarkable innings of 174 runs from 83 balls stealing the show and ultimately the series from Australia.

However, it was Kagiso Rabada's bowling that truly sealed the deal for the Proteas. Alex Carey was on course for a century with his 99 from 77 balls, and had he stayed longer, the match might have taken a different turn. Rabada stepped up when it mattered most, taking the crucial wickets of Carey and Stoinis, securing an emphatic victory for South Africa over Mitchell Marsh's men.

Liam Livingstone: 3/16 vs New Zealand

Liam Livingstone had already been displaying excellent form with the bat for England in the ODI series against New Zealand, including a brilliant 95-run innings. In the same series, he showcased his all-round ability by delivering a stellar performance with the ball.

After England posted a massive total of 368 runs, thanks to Ben Stokes' extraordinary 182 off 124 balls, the England bowlers shone. Our very own Punjab Kings' all-rounder, Liam Livingstone, dismissed the crucial wicket of Glenn Phillips, who was making an impact with 72 runs from 76 balls. Liam also played a vital role in wrapping up the tail-end of the New Zealand batting lineup, contributing to England's outstanding ODI series victory against the Kiwis.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa: 86(49) vs Guyana Amazon Warriors

Bhanuka Rajapaksa's explosive 86-run innings couldn't have come at a more crucial moment for the Saint Lucia Kings in the CPL. Sikandar Raza's team needed a victory to secure their spot in the playoffs, and they achieved it in style. Bhanuka's remarkable performance against an undefeated Guyana Amazon Warriors team showcased his exceptional skills on the field that day.

His partnership with Colin Munro played a pivotal role in ensuring the Kings walked away with two valuable points, securing their place in the playoffs. Bhanuka was simply sensational, effortlessly dispatching the Warriors' bowlers all over the park. This outstanding display set up an Eliminator game against the Jamaica Tallawahs.
