Gayle, Dre Russ, Pollard, Hetmyer, Pooran… Time and again we have seen the might and power-hitting ability of the Windies' players, absolutely demolishing the bowler on the other end of the pitch. This time it was Odean Smith’s turn to unleash his muscularity and put on a show for the world to see.

Coming in at 97/5 with 5 overs left, Odean Smith’s job was to stay there till the end and ensure that the Guyana Amazon Warriors at least reach a respectable total for their bowlers to have something in the bank. Odean Smith, however, had other ideas. He took it on himself and began the onslaught alongside Keemo Paul as the Windies duo went all guns blazing to stitch a spectacular 75-run partnership.

Guyana Amazon Warriors ended their innings at 178, with 42 of them coming off Odean’s bat in just 16 balls, including 6 maximums with 5 coming in 1 over. However, Odean still wasn’t done. He helped his team get the critical wickets of Raymon Reifer and Migael Pretorius as well. Guyana Amazon Warriors won the game by 12 runs and Odean Smith was awarded the Player of The Game for his valuable contributions with both bat and ball.

Guyana Amazon Warriors play the St. Lucia Kings next and Odean Smith will be looking to carry his terrific form onto the next game.
