It’s no hidden secret that our Punjab de Sher are loved and adored all over the country, so we decided to spread the love a bit more! For the upcoming season of the VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL), Kings XI Punjab will divide their home games between two venues – Mohali and Indore.

The PCA Stadium in Mohali has been an evergreen venue for our puttars, and will host four of the seven home games this year, with Indore’s Holkar Cricket Stadium hosting the remaining three. The news is a positive one for fans and the team management alike, as speculation of a potential shifting of bases is tellingly put to bed.

“We are happy to continue playing in Mohali, and the prospect of playing in Indore is exciting as well. This move allows us to reach out to a wider fanbase, and entertain more than before,” said Kings XI Punjab CEO, Satish Menon.

Mohali has traditionally been a fast wicket with equal assistance for batsmen and fast bowlers alike. The Indore wicket is similar, with batsmen enjoying the ball coming on to the bat well. It will be interesting to see how the new squad - that will be picked at the IPL Auction over 27th and 28th January - acclimatises to the conditions there, come the 11th season of the celebrated tournament.
