The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will officially resume on May 17, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed on Monday. A total of 17 matches remain in the season, including two Sunday double-headers. The final is scheduled to be held on June 3, while venues for the playoffs will be announced in due course.

The Punjab Kings, currently placed third on the points table with 15 points from 11 matches, are well-positioned in the race for the playoffs. They have secured seven wins so far and remains one of the form teams heading into the final leg of the league stage.

Following the mid-match abandonment of their May 8 fixture against Delhi Capitals in Dharamshala, the Punjab-Delhi encounter will now be replayed on May 24 in Jaipur. For security reasons, Punjab Kings’ remaining home matches have been shifted from Dharamsala to the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Punjab Kings will return to action on May 18 against Rajasthan Royals, followed by the rescheduled clash against Delhi Capitals on May 24. Their final league match will be played on May 26 against the Mumbai Indians.
