The wait for the schedule for Season 13 of the Dream11 Indian Premier League is finally over. The Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) earlier today confirmed the schedule for the 2020 IPL season, with the first game on September 19 being a repeat of last season’s final, with Mumbai Indians taking on the Chennai Super Kings.

For Kings XI Punjab, they kick start their campaign on September 20 with a game against the Delhi Capitals. Fans of the franchise would of course remember that this was the opening game for KXIP in 2018 as well, when their current captain KL Rahul scored the fastest fifty of the IPL, helping his team to a comfortable six wicket victory.

Following that, Kings XI Punjab will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in their second game, followed by clashes against Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians. Most fixtures in this Season of the IPL seem to be spaced out with KL Rahul and co. getting a couple days off at least between games.

There will be 10 double headers with the first match starting at 3:30PM IST and 2:00PM UAE time. All evening matches will start at 7:30PM IST and 6:00PM UAE time. In all, 24 matches will be held in Dubai, 20 in Abu Dhabi and 12 in Sharjah.

Contrary to reports, this season of the IPL will not be a truncated one, with all franchises playing each other twice to complete their quota of 14 matches in the league stages. No changes in the competition format going forward also, with the top two sides after the group stages playing the first qualifier, with the loser of that game being given a second bite at the cherry in an eliminator game with the winner of the qualifier between sides finishing third and fourth.

This season, KXIP finish their campaign against the Chennai Super Kings, with that game set to be  played on November 1. The entirety of the 2020 IPL is set to be played in the UAE, with three venues being shortlisted for the competition.

Here’s a full breakdown of the schedule for KXIP.
