Vidarbha pacer Darshan Nalkande produced career-best figures of 4/25 to dismiss Haryana for a lowly 83 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy match at Vadodara on Tuesday.

Deciding to bat first in the Elite Group B fixture, Haryana lost their first wicket on the very first ball while Nalkande, who is a part of Kings XI Punjab in the VIVO Indian Premier League, struck on his second ball in the subsequent over to send back Chaitanya Bishnoi.

He then dismissed Ankit Kumar and Sumit Kumar in the eighth over, in a space of four balls, and then trapped Jayant Yadav in front in the tenth as Haryana continued to crumble with the score at 30/6 with Nalkande's spell reading 4/12 at the stage.

His fiery burst had done the damage as Haryana crawled to 83 in the 31st over before being shot out. Managing nine overs by the end, Nalkande's bowling figures were his best in List A cricket as he recorded his maiden four-wicket haul in just his fourth domestic One Day match.

Vidarbha chased the score down in the 21st over of their innings and won the match by nine wickets.
