From high-scoring to some last-over thrillers, our boys played 14 matches in the TATA IPL (Indian Premier League) 2023 league stage. With each one of them unique, our boys added the charm by reaching several milestones. Here’s a detailed look at some of their TATA IPL achievements: 

Shikhar Dhawan’s 50 Half-Centuries:

Our captain, Shikhar Dhawan, became only the third cricketer to slam 50 half-centuries. The swashbuckling left-hander achieved an incredible milestone during our thrilling clash against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens.

Dhawan has now slammed 50 fifties in 217 matches. David Warner (61) and Virat Kohli (50) are the only other cricketers to accomplish this milestone.

Shikhar Dhawan Completes 6,500 runs:

Reaching another fantastic record, Shikhar Dhawan became the second batter to complete 6,500 runs. The 37-year-old accomplished the feat during our away match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Dhawan has now amassed 6,617 runs in 217 matches at an average of 35.39 and a strike rate of 127.18.

Kagiso Rabada Fastest To 100 wickets: 

Our pace sensation, Kagiso Rabada, grabbed the headlines as he became the fastest bowler to scalp 100 wickets.

Rabada achieved the feat after he dismissed Gujarat Titans’ (GT) opener Wriddhiman Saha in his second over. The match was played at our home ground, Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali. Rabada took 64 matches to reach the magnificent landmark. The South African speedster broke the previous record by Lasith Malinga, who took 70 matches to take 100 wickets.

Arshdeep Singh’s 50 wickets:

Our premier fast bowler, Arshdeep Singh, completed 50 wickets. 

The 24-year-old left-arm pacer reached the landmark after he dismissed Mumbai Indians’ (MI) Ishan Kishan during our clash at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Arshdeep has featured in five seasons of TATA IPL for us since making his debut in 2019. Our talented pacer took 44 matches to achieve the milestone at an average of 23.74 and an economy of 8.32. Overall, Arshdeep has picked up 57 wickets in 51 matches at an economy of 8.74. 

Sam Curran Completes 500 runs: 

Our English all-rounder, Sam Curran, completed 500 runs in his TATA IPL career. He achieved his feat during our home game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).


Since his TATA IPL debut in 2019, Curran has scored 613 runs at a strike rate of 143.22 in 46 matches. out of 613 runs, Curran scored 276 runs this season. His highest score this season was 55 and he hit 20 fours and 13 sixes. 

Jitesh Sharma Completes 500 runs:

Our designated finisher, Jitesh Sharma, also completed 500 runs in the high-profile T20 league. The wicketkeeper-batter accomplished the milestone during our final league match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the picturesque Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamshala.

In 26 TATA IPL matches, Jitesh has scored 543 runs at a strike rate of 159.24.

Liam Livingstone’s 50 Maximums:

Our destructive batter, Liam Livingstone, has hammered 50 sixes for our team. The 29-year-old achieved the feat after clobbering nine maximums against Delhi Capitals at the scenic HPCA stadium in Dharamshala. Since joining our franchise in 2022, Livingstone has smacked 53 sixes in 23 matches.
